Hi, I’m Paula. I’m a founder and self-taught creator focused on building projects that bring people closer together. My work centres on connection—reducing loneliness, improving accessibility, and creating digital spaces that feel welcoming, inclusive, and meaningful.
I was born in Santiago, Chile, and grew up across Chile, the UK, and Australia. Watching my parents rebuild their lives in new countries shaped my approach to work: resourceful, independent, unafraid of starting from zero and often with a shoestring budget. That experience taught me that progress doesn’t require perfect conditions—just persistence, belief and passion in what you’re building.
I’m largely self-directed and hands-on, teaching myself through online resources, experimentation, and problem-solving. I design, build, and develop my projects independently, from early ideas through to execution. My ventures span connection-focused startups, they include; a social networking app, dating introduction agency, animation projects, music, web design, logo design and technology aimed at supporting people with disabilities.
I’m comfortable stepping into unfamiliar territory, taking thoughtful risks, and learning as I go if it leads to better outcomes for people. At the core of everything I build is a simple goal: to create tools and experiences that help people feel seen, supported, and less alone.
One of my startups, Introduce Me Pty, is Australia’s first inclusive introduction agency, celebrating singles from diverse backgrounds and communities. Attached to Introduce Me is a vibrant magazine, where I take on the roles of magazine creator, photographer, casting director, creative director, and writer. Each edition shines a spotlight on singles from the Introduce Me community while offering playful, insightful, and helpful articles designed to inspire, inform, and connect. Through this magazine, I aim to craft stories and visuals that celebrate individuality, spark curiosity, and encourage genuine connections.
As part of Introduce Me and my other start-ups, I create video content that connects and inspires. I write scripts, cast talent, and guide the creative direction to ensure each video speaks authentically to its community. I honour every group’s beliefs and practices while keeping videos fresh, vibrant, and engaging. Each project is crafted with care, creativity, and a playful touch to captivate and foster connection.
Each start-up I create needs a strong web presence, and I love bringing that to life through website design, creative direction, and logo creation. I craft sites that are visually cohesive, warm, and welcoming, reflecting the values and diversity of the people they represent. Each logo and design element is carefully created to align with the start-up’s creative direction, creating a clear, authentic identity. The process allows me to blend creativity with purpose, selecting colours, icons, and layouts that resonate with the audience while keeping the experience engaging and inclusive. Every project is a chance to communicate understanding, personality, and connection through design, ensuring that the digital presence of each startup feels as vibrant and alive as the people it serves.
While web design helps create a presence, I believe apps are often the most direct way for communities to connect. One of my startups focuses on bringing people together, reducing isolation, and creating opportunities for meaningful connection. I design each app with simplicity, welcoming colours, and intuitive functionality so it can be easily used by people of all ages and backgrounds. Every feature is guided by empathy and purpose, ensuring that the experience feels warm, inclusive, and engaging. Through this app, I hope to make connection easier, reduce loneliness, and create spaces where people feel seen, valued, and supported. It’s not just technology—it’s a tool for fostering community, building relationships, and helping people discover the joy of connection in their everyday lives.
Another passion of mine is storytelling through animation. This is incredibly important to me, especially the role it plays in learning and connecting with audiences. I create animations that mix humour with relatable themes for children and adults alike, using comedy, song, and storytelling to make learning joyful. Each character is crafted to be funny, engaging, and relatable, bringing laughter and light to viewers around the world. I aim to make a positive impact through animation, helping children learn, grow, and experience the joy of imagination while reminding adults of the importance of laughter, play, and connection. Through each project, I strive to combine creativity, warmth, and purpose so that every story not only entertains but also nurtures curiosity, empathy, and joy.
